The SHINE rebate program is going away March 30th! This is your last chance to take advantage of up to $3500 in rebates so don’t miss out. This program is only eligible to city of Atlanta residents and the program works in conjunction with the GA Power Earthcents rebate program. The SHINE program is designed assist you with the cost of implementing energy efficiency improvements to your home. The program first requires that you have an energy audit performed by a BPI certified auditor. The Atlanta energy audit identifies the areas where you will realize the most efficiency improvement for the least cost.
The City of Atlanta issues a rebate to the homeowner for 25% of the cost of the high priority energy efficiency improvements that are identified in the energy audit report. The exciting thing about this program is that these rebates are layered on top of the Georgia Power rebates. These two significant rebates mitigate the cost of making home efficiency improvements such as insulation, ductwork improvements, replacing windows, doors and more. Implementing the improvements identified in the energy audit will increase your home’s efficiency and comfort and decrease your utility bills in addition to adding value to your home.
ECS is approved to do both the energy audit and the home improvements. Check out the SHINE website for more information and feel free to give me a call directly if you have any questions about the program.
