Rebates

City of Atlanta homeowners receive up to $3,500 in rebates

The SHINE Gold program will send the homeowner a check for 25% of the total cost of high priority energy efficiency home improvements dictated by the energy audit up to $2,000.

Additionally, the brand new SHINE Silver program rebates the homeowner $1500 for installing a solar water heating system. SHINE Silver rebates are also available for other types of high efficiency water heating. This is on top of the Federal Tax Credit that is still applicable for solar hot water until 2016!

The generous SHINE rebates are in addition to the Georgia Power rebates referenced below. We have done retrofits for many Atlanta homeowners and they typically receive well over 50% of the cost of the improvements back in rebates.
