HER & HEAR Rebate Programs

Up to $16,000per home or apartment unit, up to 98% of cost

Eligibility
Higher rebates for households meeting specific income qualifications. HEAR applies to households below 150% of Area Median Income (AMI). Check yours with the GEFA eligibility calculator.
How to apply
Start with an ECS energy audit. We identify qualifying measures and walk you through the rebate paperwork. HEAR rebates are point-of-sale on qualifying appliances.

The Home Efficiency Rebates (HER) address home energy efficiency improvements. The Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) apply to multiple appliances and measures. The rebate amount depends on the energy saved and household income eligibility.

How to apply
Schedule a Whole House Energy Assessment with ECS. After a test-out follow-up verifies the improvements, Georgia Power issues the rebate.

Georgia Power offers rebates designed to help offset costs to decrease power consumption. A Whole House Energy Assessment is the best way to identify where energy is being lost. Georgia Power rebates the homeowner $150 after the audit is performed by ECS. Our BPI-certified analysts use state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to recommend specific energy-saving improvements.

Utility — Multi-family

GA Power Multi-Family Program

$500 / unitplus $75 initial audit rebate; on 20% projected power reduction

Eligibility
Apartment buildings, community housing authorities, and loft apartments, from 5 units up to hundreds. ECS is a Georgia Power-approved multi-family auditor.
How to apply
We audit 15% of the units per floor in each building, then perform a test-out after improvements. Georgia Power allows the sampled audit because of unit similarity, dramatically lowering project cost.
