How we handle your information.

Energy Conservation Solutions is a small Atlanta home energy audit company. We collect only what we need to answer you and do the work, and we don't sell it.

Who we are

Energy Conservation Solutions ("ECS", "we", "us") is operated by Energy Consulting Services, LLC, Atlanta, Georgia. This policy covers this website and the internal tools we use to run the business, including tools connected to Google services. Questions go to ecs@gaecs.com or 404.931.9593.

What we collect on this website

Contact and questionnaire forms. When you send us a message or fill in the questionnaire on the contact page, we receive what you type: your name, email address, phone number, and anything you tell us about your home. Forms are processed by Netlify, which hosts this site, and delivered to us by email.

Scheduling. If you book a time with us, the booking is handled by Cal.com, which collects your name, email address and the time you choose, under its own privacy policy.

Server logs. Like every website, our host records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We don't run advertising trackers or analytics on this site. Some page elements load from other services (fonts from Google Fonts, scripts from Cloudflare and unpkg, map tiles from OpenStreetMap, and the booking widget from Cal.com), so those services see your IP address when a page loads, and Cal.com may set cookies of its own.

How we use it

To reply to you, schedule a visit, and carry out the audit or service you asked for.
To prepare your audit report and related documents.
To keep records of the work we've done, as required for warranties, rebate programs and our own bookkeeping.

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone for marketing. We share it only with the people and services needed to do the job: for example, a rebate program you've asked us to apply to on your behalf, or the service providers named below.

Our internal tools and Google services

We use Google services (Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive) to run the business, and we use internal software that connects to our own company Google accounts to help prepare audit reports and scope-of-work documents. That software:

reads, sends and organises email in our own company mailbox, so report drafts and feedback reach our staff;
reads our company calendar to see scheduled audits;
reads photos and documents from our company Google Drive, and saves copies of finished report PDFs to its own Drive folder.

It connects only to accounts belonging to ECS staff. It never asks a customer to sign in with Google and never accesses a customer's Google account.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google user data accessed by our tools is used only to provide and improve the report-preparation features described above. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not transferred to anyone except as needed to provide those features, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.

Service providers we rely on

Netlify hosts this website and processes its forms.
Cal.com handles appointment booking.
Google provides our email, calendar and file storage.
Spectora is the inspection software we use to produce audit reports.
Anthropic provides the AI model our software uses to draft report text and photo captions; audit details, photos and staff feedback emails are sent to it for that purpose only.
Railway hosts the internal portal where our staff edit reports.

Each of these handles data under its own privacy policy. These providers are based in the United States and may process data in other countries.

How long we keep it

We keep audit reports and the information behind them for as long as we need to support the work, honor warranties, and meet rebate-program and tax record-keeping requirements. Messages that don't turn into a job are kept only as long as they're useful for replying to you.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we aren't required to keep it. Email ecs@gaecs.com or call 404.931.9593 and we'll respond.

Children

Our services are for homeowners and businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
